The most dramatic bench in the hallway range. Hand-carved cabriole legs in an oak-ish finish support a generously cushioned seat upholstered in cream boucle, with curved arms that shelter you as you sit. At 100cm wide, this is not a bench for a narrow corridor -- it needs a wider hallway, entrance hall or landing where its proportions make sense. The French-inspired design is formal without being fussy, and the cream boucle softens the carved wood detailing. Also works beautifully at the foot of a king-size bed.

About this piece
The Catton is the only bench in the range with hand-carved cabriole legs — the curved S-shape leg associated with French furniture since the 18th century. Each leg is carved from a single piece of solid mango wood, not turned on a lathe. The seat is upholstered in 100% cotton bouclé over high-density foam, and the arms curve inward to create a sheltered feeling. At 100cm wide and 30cm deep, it provides a generous seating width while keeping the depth manageable for a hallway. The cream colour and carved detailing give it a more formal presence than the other benches in the collection.
